Young entrepreneurs group to present grants

More than a dozen Northern Colorado nonprofits are in line to receive grants from NOCO 20/30, an organization of young entrepreneurs from throughout the region.


The Northern Colorado Active 20/30 Children's Foundation was started in 2007 with five members and has grown to 36 members who have raised more than $350,000.

This year the group hopes to raise and distribute $200,000.

The organization sponsors the Kentucky Derby Party, Christmas for Kids and the Suitcase Party that is coming up Friday.

NOCO 20/30's mission is to provide young adults with opportunities for personal growth, friendship and leadership development while im-proving the quality of life for special-needs children in Northern Colorado.

Grant recipients this year include The Center for Family Outreach, CHAMP, Child Advocacy Center, Child Advocacy Resource Educa-tion, Junior Achievement, Student Recovery Program, La Familia - The Family Center, Mountain Wilder-ness, North Fort Collins Business Association Coats & Boots Program, Partners Mentoring Youth, Project Self-Sufficiency, Respite Care, SAVA, Teaching Tree, TEAM Fort Collins and Turning Point.

The 2010 Suitcase Party will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Water Valley/ Budweiser Hanger at 5833 Langley Ave., at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport.
