CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR 2003/2004 NATIONAL BOARD

It is once again time to elect the individuals that will represent Member Clubs on the Active 20-30 United States & Canada (National) Board of Directors.  The National Board of Directors is an important "team" of individuals charged with shaping and leading the organization so it can provide the best possible support and service to its Member Clubs.  The Election for 2003/2004 National Directors will be held during the AGM at the National Convention on Saturday, June 21, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nominees for each of the four open seats (President-Elect and the Directorships for each of the 3 National Club Regions) must formally declare their candidacy to the National Office at least sixty days prior to the election (by APRIL 22, 2003).  The declaration must be accompanied by a Certificate signed by the Secretary of the member's Club stating the following:

(1) the age of the nominee;
(2) the length of time the nominee has been a Club Member;
(3) the previous offices the nominee has held in Active 20-30 (this must include the office of club president for National Director                nominees, and National Director for President-Elect nominees);
(4) that the nominee is a member in good standing (of the Club and National) and has been so for:
            (a) at least three years for President Elect nominees or
            (b) at least two years for National Director nominees;
(5) the Club's Board has approved (by vote) the member's candidacy;
(6) the candidate's club is within the same jurisdiction represented by the seat to which the nominee seeks to be elected (for National Director nominees only).

 If you or someone you know would like to join the "team" that will help Active 20-30 continue to grow and provide increasingly better support to its Member Clubs, please forward a formal nomination (as outlined above) to Executive Director Karen Roberts in the National Office by APRIL 22, 2003.

If you have questions about the election process, eligibility requirements, or the open seats and representative regions, please contact me in the National Office at 916-447-3217.

Thank you.
