Volunteers are needed to take more than 30 school-aged children shopping for school clothes this Saturday.
Sponsored by the Sierra Nevada No. 730 and Carson Valley No. 85 Active 20-30 clubs, each child is accompanied by an adult volunteer to select $100 worth of shoes and clothes to help prepare them for the upcoming school year.
To round out the morning, the 20-30 Club will also provide each child with breakfast from McDonald's.
Volunteers meet 6:30 a.m. Saturday by the McDonald's in the Carson Valley Walmart. Kids check in at 6:45 a.m. and shopping begins at 7 a.m.
The shopping time usually lasts about 45 minutes.
