Many thanks to all the members and friends of Active 20-30 who donated to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. $6,916.28 was raised and has been transferred to help the children and families of Haiti. See the impact the funds are making in Haiti through Active 20-30 Santo Domingo.
A donation was also made to the Mangrove Fund. Bill Pierznik, Co-Founder and President, Mangrove Fund: "I wanted to follow up with you guys and let you know that your contribution will feed and provide water to the 50 children of the Timon Yo La orphanage in Port-au-Prince in July. Thank you so much again. Here is a link to a video shot by our sister organization, Voice of Haiti, at the orphanage. It is a boy singing a very soulful Haitian folk song. I was there when he sang it. It was amazing."
A very special contribution was received from Irene M. Snow Elementary School in Napa California. Snow Elementary School is a Title 1 School but the students made efforts to raise funds to help those in Haiti. The school has been supported by members of Active 20-30 Club of Napa #57 for many years and as a way to thank them they are supporting Active 20-30's efforts to help earthquake victims in Haiti.
Active 20-30 would like to extend a very special thank you to Snow Elementary School.
